To accentuate hooded eyes, it’s usually best to choose lightweight, wispy, and curly lashes that are appropriate for the client’s face. If their natural eyelashes point downwards, a D or L curl should work nicely. In general, LD, L, and L+ curls are often most flattering for hooded eyes. In most cases, you’ll want to apply the longest lashes to the middle of the eyes and most of the outer corner to create a winged effect. Reserve approximately 10% off the remaining outer corner for short and medium-length lashes. If the client has wide-set eyes, you may want to apply more of the longer lashes towards the inner corner to fill the gap.
